Your Life

Your lifestyle, your wellbeing, is the whole of you; how you choose to live your life (what you do, think, feel, eat etc.).

Your physical and mental health go hand-in-hand and both are equally as important for you to feel your best.

Picture yourself as this Wellbeing tree. Are you balanced and flourishing, or do some of your branches need tending to?

If you fully look after yourself, you will feel fantastic.

It starts with you.

Looking After Yourself

Your Head (thoughts)

You head (thoughts) is where it all starts; it affects you inside and out. Imagine your head is your gear stick - if you leave it in neutral you won’t go far! It needs to flow smoothly or you will stop. Once you master how to manage your thoughts, you can do anything. It’s a relief to know that thoughts are not real, they are split second perceptions based on your experiences and emotions. They can be changed. Your mind, like a car, can be dangerous, unless it’s well driven.

Energy

Energy is invisible but you can feel it, in yourself and in others. It’s a natural frequency.

When you feel happy and healthy, you feel full of energy and can achieve anything. You ooze good vibes and it’s contagious, so people love to be around you.

Diet

Your diet includes everything you eat and drink, and it can be a hugely confusing topic.

The key is to keep it simple and find ways that work for you.

Time

Learning how to use your time effectively is a game-changer.

Life can be so much easier with good time management and less procrastination.

Make the time to find out how.

Exercise

We all know that exercise is good for you. Regular movement is one of the most important things for both your physical body and mental health.

It doesn’t mean that you have to join a gym or become a runner. It needs to be something you enjoy and something you will do consistently.

Choice

We all have choices. What we eat, where we work, what we wear, who we spend time with, what we think and the decisions we make (35,000 a day!).

Making the wrong choices can be a habit and can feel absolutely exhausting.

The moment you master simple decision-making, your life feels easier.

Rest

This includes your sleep, quiet time, pausing, breathing, doing nothing, reading and more...

When you master how to rest, you really do feel your best.

Start a new relationship with yourself now. Get ready to shine!

Focusing on you

You belong here just as much as anyone else

Do you feel in control of all areas of your life?

Think of your career, relationships, finances, energy levels, diet, health, happiness, sleep, exercise, hobbies, fun…anything that is part of your life.

It’s perfectly normal not to prioritise all areas at once and have an imbalance at times, but when that affects your health and happiness then it’s time to invest in it.  You have choices and those decisions are up to you.

Excuses, Excuses

We all use excuses: too busy, work is manic, my children take all my time, I don’t have the energy, I put everyone else first and so on...but making the time to focus on yourself is a very healthy and positive thing for you to do, with many short and longer term benefits.

Imbalance

Common reflections of imbalance show up in different ways: being overweight, loathing your job, illness, being unfit, stuck in a rut, low self-esteem, relationship problems; stress, anxiety, sleep issues, overwhelm, frustration, worry - not feeling in control or like YOU anymore.

New ways

Finding new ways to improve your life doesn’t have to be hard and it’s helpful for someone to work with you, to look at options, to give you some fresh ideas to start the ball rolling. It’s much easier with a little help and support.

Together

We, together, can discover what you need to work on, discuss things you struggle with and create a realistic plan for you to thrive in life.

Personal Profile

This exercise is a simple way to highlight the areas of your life you may want to focus on, to enable you to feel fantastic.

You can change the sections and make them personal to you. For example, you may not work or be interested in a career, so you could replace it with something else that fits in with your life (e.g. purpose, community, parenting, learning, animals, spirituality).

It’s helpful to revisit this every few months, to check-in with yourself and ensure that you’re still focused on what’s important to you. Make time for the important things in your life.
